Every day is Earth Day at Greenleaf…But since Earth day is officially next week, we have many exciting activities planned. Our green team will be coming around every nutrition break to collect your organic waste like banana peels, apple cores and other fruit and vegetable waste – so that they can then be composted in our school’s vermicomposters.
We also ask everyone to try their best to bring in litterless lunches. in our efforts to try to conserve as much energy as possible, we will try to turn on lights only as needed in the classroom. We will also be having a green and blue day on Wednesday. On Friday we will be selling worms and dirt for $2 and earth day cupcakes for $1. If you are planning on buying some worms and dirt please bring in a reusable spoon – and they will be sold in reusable cups which we will collect and sanitized for future use. Remember to be earth friendly everyday!!!
